Summer Palace
This small Summer Palace has only two rooms. It was built in the first half of the 17th century.
It is one of the last buildings here made in the Ottoman style. Its walls are covered with fine tiles, both inside and outside. The rooms also have a special dome, rich ceiling decoration, fountains beside the windows, and stoves.
In the 18th century, this palace was used as the room of the crown prince. The crown prince was the prince who could become sultan one day.
Later, the Summer Palace was damaged. It was repaired in the 1960s.
One detail is especially fun. In the second room, there is a gold-covered stove. Inside its decoration, you can see cabbage and okra shapes. These were not just vegetables. They were the signs of two old palace sport teams, from two centuries ago.
